Sam Paik
Founder and Senior Director

After a successful career in international finance, Sam founded SA Sports in 2014 to develop and operate active and interactive programs that help cultivate the importance of good health, imagination, and teamwork in children. Sam graduated with a BA degree in History from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. He and his wife Phoebe are the proud parents of Ellen, 23, and Lauren, 21.

Yefei Jin
Director of Programs


Yefei Jin brings a whole-child philosophy to empowering children. He is passionate about creating a healthy mind and body in every child. Beyond teaching, he enjoys reading about education policy and building technology that supports teachers. Yefei is currently the Product Manager at Nearpod for ELL, the award winning interactive platform for teachers to creatively engage students. Yefei is also the founder and advisor of LessonPick, the online collaboration tool for teachers of English Learners. He received his B.A. from the Univ. of Minnesota Twin Cities and his M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Dave Campbell
Camp Director


Dave Campbell has over 20 years in high school education- teaching engineering and robotics. Dave earned his Bachelors of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology from Miami University - Ohio. He and his students compete annually in the FIRST Robotics competition. In addition to his passion for robotics education, Dave is also an endurance athlete. He enjoys participating in Ironman triathlon, ultra-marathons, ultra-distance cycling and adventure races.

Jaclyn Eichenberger
Director of Languages


Jaclyn is an enthusiastic leader focused on developing learning communities that value all cultures, languages, and identities. She brings this passion to Camp Hokukea through her English language curriculum, which capitalizes on students' strengths and home cultures. Jaclyn graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and currently works as the EL Language Specialist in the Boston Public Schools. She draws on her experience as a K-5 English Learner teacher to dive deeper into bilingual education theories and practices

Elizabeth Shin
Assistant Director

After graduating from Davidson College in Davidson, NC, Elizabeth promptly pursued her passion to combine traveling and teaching. Over the years, she has taught English to children in the US, Honduras, Argentina, Korea, and Japan. Elizabeth is an avid runner. After volunteering at ultramarathons in Chile, China, and Jordan, she completed a 250-km footrace in Ecuador.

Christopher Clark
Director of Sports

Born and raised in Boston, Christopher looks to connect the world through education, sports and technology. Upon graduating from college, he pursued a globe-trotting career in sports, playing professional and semi-professional soccer in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia. He is a NSCAA coach, having worked with soccer clubs, Academy of Excellence in New York City, and Espzen in Singapore. Most recently, he organized matches for the global streetfootballworld Festival 16 in Lyon, France. Aside from sports, he enjoys writing cool JavaScript functions and teaching code to kids.
