Program Specialties

Our core philosophy about English acquisition is that children will succeed if they realize why they need to learn English. We promote this by maximizing their opportunity to use English with peers, no matter what level they are currently at.  Here are some of the special ways our program achieves this.

Schooling

Our partner schools in Malaysia: JT International Melaka, Melaka International School, and Ivy Kids Pre-School. All instructions will be in English. Instructors will smoothly integrate the visiting campers into their classes.  Most classes are small with less than 20 children in each class.

School Buddies

Campers will be assigned designated buddies at the international schools and will attend classes, eat lunch, and socialize together, completely immersing themselves in an English-speaking environment.

English Lessons

Campers will have up to 150 minutes of bespoke English language lessons designed by English Learner experts from Harvard University Graduate School of Education to enhance confidence in speaking.

Research in English

Every camper will be challenged to do a project about a subject they are interested in. Campers with advanced command of English will be given research projects with presentation.  Those less ready for such a challenge will be given level-appropriate assignments.  On the last days of the camp, they will share their work with other campers, staff, and parents.

Field Trips

During the weekdays, campers will hop on school buses to visit local natural and historical sites for research such as Jonker Street, Sultanate Palace, Dutch Square, and Melaka River.  During the weekend, they will hop on express buses to Kuala Lumpur and Port Dickson.
